It is the mission
of the Missouri Multicultural Network and Missouri Southern
State University's Institute of International Studies
to provide an all-encompassing information clearinghouse
for Missouri's immigrants, refugees and other limited
English speaking persons, as well as offer resources and
networking capabilities to service providers working to
smooth immigrant transition into American society.
The Missouri
Multicultural Network intends to provide all resources
and information necessary to help immigrants and refugees
integrate into American society and work toward becoming
informed citizens of the United States.
This project
is monitored by an advisory committee of nearly 20 members
from throughout the state who work in the areas of community,
education, law enforcement, health and other fields of
discipline. The committee oversees all changes and additions
to the Web site and makes recommendations necessary to
better meet the needs of Missouri's limited English speaking
population and those service providers who serve them.
