Klassical Kids
Wins Top Honors for 2002 Production

The judges' panel has awarded Klassical Kids the 2002 Fine Arts Radio International® Awards trophy for outstanding achievement in classical music education.

Produced by Eric Benjamin with technical direction by Jim Mehrling and sponsored by the Cleveland Music School Settlement, Klassical Kids airs regularly on WCLV-FM in Cleveland, Ohio.

Last year, Klassical Kids was judged Runner-Up among the 2001 FARIA entries.

Said the judges of the series: Excellent--Informative as well as entertaining.... Even better than previous year's entry, which was a fine program in bringing less knowledgeable listeners along. It kept me interested throughout the whole program.... The varied examples of poetry, music, script, reference to paintings, etc., added to the presentation.... Excellent approach to teaching kids! Scripting was well-done and most interesting. Keep up the great work!
