| Honoring KGCS Volunteers: The Wayne Kester Volunteer Award | |

The Wayne Kester Volunteer Award is presented each year in honor and celebration of the dedication of community volunteers that benefit and support KGCS-TV. The award is in honor of Mr. Wayne Kester, who was unfailing in his volunteer commitment to KGCS. Wayne worked as a volunteer Master Control operator for more than eleven years, airing local programming. KGCS wishes to recognize individuals in the community whose volunteer efforts go above and beyond expectations and are vital assets to the success of television at Missouri Southern State University. Volunteers are nominated for the award by their peers and staff members at KGCS. Selection is made by KGCS professional staff and faculty members. |
