| KGCS provides programming from America One and a variety of other sources. The program structure is designed to meet the educational and informational needs of the community and the College. America One, the network, which calls itself The Voice of the Homeland, presents a variety of programming. such as: classic Western movies and television series, sports programs -including Canadian Football League games, outdoor shows and auto racing, music programs, lifestyle programs focusing on topics such as cooking and gardening, news and information programs featuring business news, and children s programming. Missouri Southern Television supplements the network at various times to offer programming to serve area needs and interests. |

| An overnight satellite service from The Classic Arts Showcase features classical music and arts performances. Other hours on the station feature a variety of locally-produced and syndicated programming, including live sports telecasts. KGCS provides local television viewers a chance to see programs which would otherwise not be available in the market, which consists of four network affiliates (ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX) and a PBS station. |

KGCS is proud to provide programming during the morning hours from the Sportsman Channel. The network provides a variety of outdoor hunting and fishing programs. Times for the Sportsman Channel on KGCS are: Monday - Friday 5:00 - 7:00 a.m. Saturday 5:00 - 7:00 a.m. & 8:30 - 10:00 am. Sunday 5:00 - 10:00 a.m.

STUDENT PRODUCTIONS |

| In addition to direct involvement with station operations, students produce many of the local programs airing on KGCS-LP. Most of the productions are completed as extracurricular activities outside of course requirements. Students follow specific guidelines and procedures throughout the production process, from submitting program ideas to approval of programs for airing. These procedures are outlined in the KGCS Operations Handbook. |
