UPGRADE PROJECT COMPLETED In September 2008, work was completed on installing the new broadcast equipment for KGCS-TV. The upgrade increase the KGCS over-the-air coverage area and provides a digital broadcast signal for viewers. KGCS programming appears on UHF channel 22.

KGCS COVERAGE AREA INCREASES The digital upgrade of the KGCS broadcast signal provides the opportunity to reach 167,840 households throughout Southwest Missouri, Southeast Kansas and into Northeast Oklahoma. |
| RUTH I. KOLPIN STUDIOS A generous contribution from the Ruth I. Kolpin foundation provided the funding the begin the upgrade of the KGCS broadcast signal and station facilities. Ruth I. Kolpin is one of Southwest Missouri's pioneers in broadcasting, with a long career in radio, television and cable television. Mrs. Kolpin-Rubison was honored for her support with the naming of the KGCS studios in her honor in January 2008. |
