Ron Petersen

Ron Petersen s broadcasting career spans more than 40 years.  His career history includes positions in the Joplin and Columbia, MO markets. 

He has been the owner of KXML-FM and KDMO-AM radio stations in Carthage since 1990. 

Petersen has been active in professional organizations.

He  served as President of the Missouri Broadcasters Association in 1986.  In 2005 MBA honored him as the 2005 Distinguished Broadcaster of the Year.   

He held the Presidency of the Carthage Rotary in 1987, and has served on the Carthage Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors for several years.

Petersen  believes in  giving back  and has been active in the church and the community.  He presently serves as a trustee on the McCune Brooks Hospital Board, Public Relations Committee of the Ronald McDonald House of the Four States, and will serve Rotary International as the District Governor of his district in 2008.
