Activities of the International Trade and Quality Center
The International Business Major In spring 1998, the MSSU Board of Regents approved a program leading to a major in International Business. This was a major effort from the School of Business to support the international mission of MSSU. The responsibility for developing and implementing this program has been assigned to the ITQC. The implementation of this program began in Fall 1998. Twenty-nine students declared this major during the first semester. During the second year, thirty-nine other students became International Business majors. This demonstrates a clear need for the program with interest high among incoming students. In addition to offering this major, the School of Business Administration has increased the globalization of courses in other majors as well, it provided internships for students as part of the program of study, and engaged in other activities to enhance the international experience of MSSU students.
