International Parade

Located in the very center of the United States, Missouri Southern State University is an ideal location for international students. The university established partnerships with 16 universites worldwide to provide exchange opportunities for students. In addition, Southern recruits both international students and faculty to its internationalized campus and curriculum in Joplin, Missouri.


Joplin, the fourth largest city in Missouri, is a welcoming place for international students and a very safe community in which to study and live. The community provides host families and friend families for international students and the campus provides both support and activities to help internationals feel right at home.


*Please note that the Office of International Admissions will be closed from Friday, March 19th through Sunday March 28th for Spring Break.


International Admissions Counselors are available to speak with international students from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays to ask questions about admission requirements and inquire about their admission status.
