ALOJAMIENTO (accomodations)

The Village is a program of Missouri Southern State University, a public institution of higher education located in Joplin, Missouri. Participants have access to MSSU state-of-the-art facilities, which include the International Language Resource Center, the Student Life Center, computer labs, and sports and recreational facilities. You can choose from two types of Village accommodations: residential or day.

In Residential Village, participants (ages 9-14) stay on the MSSU campus throughout the duration of the camp and experience full immersion. Villagers get a taste of college life by staying in the air-conditioned residence halls under the supervision of one staff member per four villagers. Three meals and one snack a day are provided.

In Day Village, participants (ages 8-14) come at 8:00 a.m. each morning and leave at 6:30 p.m. Lunch, and one snack are provided.

All villagers should arrive and check in on Sunday between 4:00 and 5:30 p.m. in the Student Life Center and Blaine Residence Hall.

On the last day parents should plan to arrive at 5:30 pm. for the closing program. You may bring a video camera to record the performance.

All villagers need to be picked up no later than 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
