Em julho de 1995, o Governador do Missouri assinou uma lei, onde afirmava-se que a Missouri Southern “deve desenvolver programas de suporte acadêmico e atividades de serviço público que são considerados necessários e adequados para o estabelecimento da educaçãoo internacional ou global como um tema distinto da sua missão”.
But the International Mission, strange as it may seem, is unrelated to international students attending MSSU. Funded by the State of Missouri, the mission focus is directed at making it possible for Missouri students to have international experiences and opportunities.
Missouri Southern is a great place for international students to study, because of the quality of education and learning environment, the relatively low cost of education here, and the hospitable setting of southwest Missouri. International students sometimes feel left out, but should remember that they are agents of the mission and not receivers of it.
