How much will it cost me to attend the IEP?

You have three options to choose from when you enroll in the International English Program The cost of each option is different, so choose your enrollment plan carefully. The reasons to choose one over the others are given below.

Follow the links to the cost for each option.

Option #1: Registering for Transfer Credit

What is the Cost of Option 1?

Choose this option for these reasons:

  • You are enrolled in a university outside the U.S. that will accept your classes as transfer credit
  • You don't have to pay tuition at MSSU because you are here on an exchange agreement

Don't choose this option if the following is true:

  • You plan to finish your degree at Missouri Southern
  • You don't want to pay out-of-state tuition for credits that won't count toward a degree

Option #2: Registering for MSSU Credit

What is the cost of Option 2?

Choose this option for these reasons:

  • You are a resident of Missouri and pay resident tuition
  • You are enrolled at Missouri Southern and expect to complete a degree here, OR
  • You are taking classes at Missouri Southern and are not interested in a degree.

Don't choose this option if the following is true:

  • You are an international student or a non-resident student.
  • You are an international student pursuing a degree outside the U.S. but the English credits will not transfer to your home university.

Option #3: Registering for No Credits

What is the Cost for Option 3?

Choose this option for these reasons:

  • You are a non-resident student and want to pay less than out of state tuition costs.
  • You prefer to pay a fee for the program, rather than the prices of individual classes.

Don't choose this option if the following is true:

  • You need the courses for English credit at a university outside the U.S.
  • You are signing up for only one or for three IEP courses (then the credit option is cheaper)

Students must also consider costs related to:

  • University Fees = $286 for Full time and $158 for part-time students
  • Text Books Fees = $7.00/credit for text book rentals (some of your books) and the cost of books for sale
  • Other University Fees = Some courses have specifc fees to cover supplies
  • The cost of housing (See the university web site for the costs of on-campus housing) http://www.mssu.edu/slc/housingcost-style.htm
