Students MUST be protected against the diseases of measles, mumps, and rubella (two doses). It is recommended that each student be immunized for tetanus/diptheria in the last ten (10) years. Vaccination against meningitis is also recommended. Proof of immunization must be on file in the Student Health Center. Students who are not properly immunized or who have not had these diseases may be banned from College property in the event of an outbreak on campus.
When a communicable disease comes to the attention of the University, whether student, faculty, or staff member, the University's physician and nurse will assume the responsibility for conducting a thorough review based upon the best medical and legal information available. Any action taken will respect the confidentiality of the individual as well as the individual's welfare and that of the University community.
General Clinic visits are free with minimal charges for some services (TB testing, vaccinations, pre-employment physicals). Women's and Preventive Services Clinic charges are based on services provided (exams, Pap smears, testing).
