Master
of Arts in History

Offered through a Partnership
Between
University of Missouri - St. Louis
&
Missouri Southern
State University
About the Program
Missouri Southern State University and the University of Missouri-St.
Louis are pleased to offer a joint online MA
degree program in History. The program was launched in the Fall Semester
2009.
At
least one online course will be offered each regular semester,
allowing students to pursue their degrees while working full time. Teachers
are especially encouraged to apply and will be given preference
in the selection process.
Although the internet will be the
primary instructional medium, students may be asked to convene
occasionally in either St. Louis or Joplin. The degree requirements
for this program are identical to those for the conventional MA
program offered at the University of Missouri—St. Louis,
although courses will be taught by faculty at both sponsoring institutions.
To
participate, please apply to the MA
program at the University of Missouri—St. Louis and make a special notation on the application
indicating your desire to pursue the online degree.
