Why give a gift?
In the truest sense MSSU is a state assisted, rather than a state funded college. Gifts to the college are used as an additional source of funding to enhance the campus experience.

Funds are used as ongoing support for:

College Seminar Series · Business and Economic lecture series · Endowed chairs to attract and retain distinguished faculty members · Outstanding Teacher Awards · Faculty Development · Student Development · Travel for student groups · Cultural Events

Gifts are also used, in accordance with the donor’s instructions, for:

Alumni Association · Men’s and Women’s Athletics · The Chart · Library · Patron Scholarships or General Scholarship Funds

Restricted gifts are also used for students and faculty in areas such as:

Art, Biology, Business · Communications, Computer Science, Dental hygiene, Education/Psychology, Music, Nursing, Social Sciences, Technology, Theatre, And Others
