Residence Life Department

Whether you're a brand new student or a senior getting ready to graduate, we are here to support you. We offer a host of services to help you be academically successful, socially engaged and intellectually enriched. We understand the difficulty of starting at a new school, possibly in a new area, so we want to ensure the most efficient and rewarding transition as possible.

We offer fun activities where you can make new friends and develop valuable leadership skills. We also provide plenty of fun with many forms of campus activities.

Basic resources you need are available on the footer of every page on our website, including LioNet, Blackboard and the Library.

A place to stay is not all the Residence Life Department at Southern has to offer. We believe recreation and relaxation should be part of your time spent in the residence halls, so we supply students with the means to have a good time right on campus. We have the Mayes Student Life Center that offers a computer lab, movielounge, ping pong, pool and more. Outside we have a lighted sand volleyball court, cross country course, tennis courts and more! The Residence Halls Association (RHA) also aids in getting our residence hall students involved in a variety of activities.

Students can check out their assignments and testing information by using Blackboard.

If you are an undecided student with no major, the Advising, Counseling & Testing Services would be a great place to start for some support.

Please view the links provided on the left, we have a number of offices and services whose priority and mission is You - the student.
