25 YEARS OF TELEVISION

KGCS alumni and supporters celebrated 25 years of television at Missouri Southern and The Chart hit their 75 year milestone this year. Activities were planned for Homecoming 2009, with a reunion on Friday, Sept. 25 and brunch, a tour of the station and a tailgate party before the football game on Sat., Sept. 26. Informational letters were sent to graduates over the summer. Persons needing further information may contact Judy Stiles, KGCS General Manager, at stiles-j@mssu.edu or TR Hanrahan, Publications Manager of The Chart at hanrahan-t@mssu.edu.

Missouri Southern's television station is proud to have served the University and the Joplin region for those 25 years. Broadcast programming may be seen on Digital UHF channel 22. KGCS-TV is one of the few University-operated over-the-air television stations in Missouri. A strong background of community service and educational opportunities help form the framework for a transition to the communications world of tomorrow. We hope you were able join us in our celebration!
