Our University mandated departmental assessment for graduating seniors is a simulated professional interview to determine preparedness to enter the job market. To participate, you must submit:After the materials are examined, you will be invited to an interview to discuss this fictitious position and your qualifications. Your resume, supplemental materials, and interviews will be evaluated by a panel of one or two faculty members and an outside communications professional who has volunteered to help in the process.
- Your resume
- A cover letter (addressed to a fictitious person describing the position for which you are applying)
- Supporting materials, if appropriate (e.g., demo tape, clip file, portfolio, etc.)
You will have an opportunity to rate the process in order to help us develop the most positive experience we can.
Shortly after the interview you will receive your ratings from the interviewers along with their helpful comments and suggestions to aid you in your future job searches.
