"Congress
shall make no law respecting an establishment of Religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereot, or abridging the freedom of
Speech, or of the Press; or the right of the people to peaceably
Assemble, and to Petition the government for a redress of
grievances." The
United States Constitution A
very wise man once said "difference of opinion leads to inquiry,
and inquiry to truth... "If
a nation expects to be ignorant and free... it expects what never was
and never will be" (Thomas Jefferson). Congratulations to Josh Ray and to The Chart (Oct. 11, 2002) for their participation in the exercise of free speech which is, by the way, protected by our Constitution. In what one believes or does not believe is not the issue here. This has to do with our basic First Amendment rights. Without prejudice, each of us is protected by our Constitution because it is "the supreme law of the land." Anyone wishing to exercise that right may do so... lawfully. For those of you who wish to criticize this lad for exercising his Constitutional rights, think before you condemn him in the name of your God. You're protected too...for now. Deborah
