They're brothers. They're saints. They're killers.

They're The Boondock Saints. But before I give you the rundown of the movie, let me tell you first how I happened to come across it.

It was forced upon me. It's one of those low-budget movies by an independent film maker. You know, the movies that never make it to the big screen and sit on the shelf of a movie store untouched for years. I had never heard of this movie. But I have a friend who decided I should watch it sometime. And she basically forced me to. Of course, she guaranteed I would like it, but I had serious doubts.

Well, it was a surprise. The movie turned out to be exceptionally awesome. While the company that made it isn't well known, the actors are far from no names. With Willem Dafoe, Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus starring in this video, not a single of the 108 minutes is a waste of time.

The movie is basically about two brothers who live in an Irish neighborhood in Boston. When the Russian mob comes in to take over, the brothers realize they have a knack for killing people and getting away with it. So, why not keep doing it? They begin making hits on the low-life criminals residing around the city, and they do it all in the name of God. How sweet.

It's an edge-of-the-seat movie all the way through. You never know what to expect. The movie is set up as a drama, but has just enough comical elements to lighten the load but not make it cheesy. Just the same, unlike a lot of independent movies, and some major companies, too, the cinematography of the movie is excellent. It won't create a headache or make watchers go puking over the side of the couch (unless they're really sensitive when it comes to the site of blood).

It might not be a movie for all the ages, though. The Boondock Saints is definitely a college-age movie. Granted, guys, it isn't one to rent for you and your girlfriend, but it is definitely one everyone should see.

Go rent it. It's a movie worth the time to see. It basically has something in it for everybody. Looking for a religious movie, this could be it. The whole thing is basically centered around religion. Looking for a comedy, this has that, too. And it looking for an awesome movie with everything in it, grab this movie and take it home.

If looking for a stupid movie that doesn't make sense and is boring, don't rent this one. Go rent Queen of the Damned or something like that.
