Burning security truck attracts students attention 1. Phone Harassment
9/14/02 11:30 p.m. Security
was contacted on Sept. 15 in response to a case of phone harassment
which occurred on Sept.
14. The victim said she did not know who the caller was, and when she
said she was going to hang up, the caller became irate. Security advised the student to hang up on the caller if it happened again, and to notify security as quickly as possible
2. Injured Person 9/17/2002 7:55 p.m.
Security
was dispatched to Webster Hall in response to a student passed out on
the third floor stairwell. The
victim's boyfriend was present, and told security the student had been
at Freeman Health System earlier in the day regarding the same
problem. The
victim was conscious, but disoriented when EMS arrived and transported
the subject to Freeman.
3. Damaged Property 9/19/2002 10:30 a.m.
A
student came into the security office to advise an officer the
security pickup truck was on fire. Two
officers ran to the truck and found flames coming from the area of the
jump start quick connect on the left front side of the vehicle. One and a half fire extinguishers were required to put out the flames
4. Damaged Property 9/20/2002 2:15 p.m.
On
Sept. 20, security was contacted by maintenance in reference to damage
on the Genie lift. Upon
investigation, security found a 1-1/2 inch dent and several inch long
scratches on the body of the lift. The
paint shop was contacted, and said it had no knowledge of the damage
or when it might have happened. Contract window washers were reported
as the last to use the lift, and that was several days prior to the
notification of security.
