Baseball-bat visitors 'just playing around,' leave area 1. Suspicious Activity 9/3/2002 9:30 p.m.
Suspicious
activity caused security to be called to Headlee Hall Sept. 3. Dispatch
advised that three subjects were walking around with baseball bats. When
asked what they were doing, the subjects replied, saying there was no
problem. They also said that they were visiting and just playing
around. The subjects left the area
2. Harassment 9/4/2002 9:30 p.m.
On
Sept. 4 a student in McCormick Hall contacted security because of her
irritated ex-boyfriend. Apparently,
the ex-boyfriend showed up at the student s employment while
flourishing a weapon. The student said she would not be staying on
campus that night, but would be attending classes the next day. Security also offered to escort the student around campus during her classes for safety
3. Personal Injury 9/5/2002 11:44 a.m.
Security
was notified on Sept. 5 when a school employee was working on the
soccer concession stand and injured himself. Driving
a steel-post into the ground, the employee over shot the post with the
driver causing it to miss the post and hitting his thumb and ring
finger. Security
transferred the person to Freeman Health System for medical treatment.
He received several stitches in his fingers
4. Damaged Property 9/9/2002 1:15 p.m.
Security
was dispatched to parking lot 31 for a property damage call. The
student said he parked his 1994 Mercedes E320 wagon at the southwest
corner of the lot. Returning
to the vehicle, he found a three-inch dent and scratch on the right
rear passenger door of the vehicle. No one was parked next to his vehicle when he returned.
