Black floor mat difficult to track down

1. Medical Call

    10/18/2002

    5:05 p.m.

Security was called to East Hall when it was reported a student had passed out on the second floor. Security talked to the student and she said she had donated plasma an hour and a half earlier.

While the officer was talking to the student, she again passed out. An ambulance was called to the scene where she was given fluids. She refused medical attention.

 

2. Malicious Behavior

     10/19/2002

      2 a.m.  

   

Security was in Blaine Hall when an officer looked out the window and saw a brown station wagon driving slowly toward Newman Road. Two young males got out of the car ran to a vehicle, stopped and ran toward another vehicle.

When the officer went to investigate, he noticed five vehicles had punctured tires. All owners of the vehicles were notified. The Joplin Police Department took a report on the incident as well.

 

3. Suspicious Behavior

     10/20/2002

      6 p.m.

 

An individual reported to security her 12-year-old son was by the soccer field when a suspicious male harassed him. The boy told security an unknown male yelled out  hey  and motioned with his hands to come to him. The boy began to run away. The harasser threw off his jacket and began chasing after the boy. The suspect was unable to reach him.

The suspect is around 5-feet-7 and 21-25 years old. The security officer asked the mother and son if they knew what direction the suspect left, but they didn t know. Security advised the mother to contact the Joplin Police Department.

 

4. Theft

     10/21/2002

      8:45 p.m.

   

The custodian in the Taylor Performing Arts Center reported to security the black floor mat located by the double doors was missing. At first, the custodian thought the door mat to the music department was being borrowed.

After three days, and with it still missing, the custodian called security.
