Major Field Tests

Seniors take the Major Field Tests in order to assess how well students majoring in a specific subject area have mastered the concepts, principles and knowledge of that particular subject. In addition, students are evaluated on their understanding of sub-areas of their major field of study. These tests also evaluate each student's ability to analyze and solve problems, understand relationships, and interpret material. Departmental test results are analyzed and used for our ongoing continuous improvement process.  Missouri Southern uses this information to evaluate the curriculum and departmental services to students.
