WHY should YOU attend Career Development Day?
- Help us educate our students about various careers and share your personal career success.
- Promote your organization to the Missouri Southern State University community.
- Talk to seniors and alumni who are interested in your organization as a potential career opportunity.
- Visit with juniors, sophomores, and freshmen about internship and part-time job opportunities with your company.
- NETWORK with students to encourage them to become your colleagues of the future!
- Get to know the BEST students and alumni in the four-state area.
- Eat some great food!
Career Development Day is designed to help MSSU students make wise career choices by providing them with real-world information about a variety of careers. Students and alumni look forward to visiting you at your booth to ask you questions about your organization, your career and your educational background. Many will be interested in any advice or encouragement you could give them about pursuing a particular career or educational path.
Set-up for this event resembles a "trade show" design, allowing you maximum exposure to the 1,200+ students who will be attending Career Development Day. You will be provided with a six-foot table, two chairs and a sign bearing the name of your organization. You are encouraged to bring brochures, business cards and other promotional material for students and alumni to take.
Reserved parking spaces directly behind the Leggett & Platt Athletic Center will be available to you. Look for the designated lot with a Security Officer nearby. We will also help carry in your promotional material if you drop it off in the circle drive directly in front of the Athletic Center before heading to the designated parking area.
