Investment Center &
Student Portfolio
The Department of Finance and Economics provides real world security analysis, financial trading, and portfolio management to our students in the Edwards Jones Investment Center, a state-of-the-art learning laboratory that includes two LCD monitors, 20 computers workstations, a Bloomberg terminal, and financial software such as Morningstar, Standard and Poor's Research Insight, and Ibbotson Encorr. In addition, the Missouri Southern Foundation has entrusted the Department to manage a portion of it funds through two upper-division portfolio management courses, in which students do security analysis, make investment decisions, and manage the portfolio under the guidance of a faculty advisor.
