Denny Rodriguez received his BSBA in Marketing from MSSU, at the time MSSC, in 2000 as an advisee of Dr. Kleindl.  After Denny graduated from Southern he worked for Home Depot in Joplin, MO.  Quickly realizing that retail sales was not what he wanted to do, Denny applied to a Night Shift Production Supervisor position in Neosho, MO.  Denny was hired approximately six months later.  He worked as the Night Shift Supervisor until his current position, Marketing Coordinator with Brass Eagle Paintball, became available.

Tammy Trent has graduated twice from MSSU.  She completed her associate degree in accounting and then worked for  and helped manage her parent's business, Fidelity Furniture, in Carthage.  Glen Barnett, a partner at BKD and tax accountant for Fidelity Furniture, saw her potential as an accountant and encouraged her to return to MSSU.  She earned her BSBA in Accounting in December, 1989.

Like many of our accounting alumni, after Tammy graduated she started as a staff accountant at BKD.  Tammy was promoted to Audit Supervisor and specialized in the audits of financial institutions and governmental/not-for-profit clients.  After 8 years at BKD, she accepted the position of Financial Reporting Manager at Leggett and Platt.  Tammy's main responsibility is to supervise the consolidation of the financial information from their 300 domestic and international locations each quarter.  This includes reviewing and editing external reporting to guarantee adherence to the SEC regulations and FASB statements.  Tammy also coordinates the annual audit and quarterly reviews with Leggett and Platt's external auditors.

Tammy has been a licensed CPA for 14 years.  Currently, she is a member of the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Institute of Management Accountants.  She is also contemplating returning to school again for her MBA.

Tammy currently lives in the Carthage area with her husband and two children.
