The School of Business Administration at MSSU interacts with the business community to identify and serve its educational needs and to provide opportunity for professional growth for our students and faculty.
The Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) is part of a nationwide network of SBDC programs that provide free and confidential one-on-one counseling for individuals in every stage of business, from concept and start-up to growth and reinvention. A variety of counseling is available in the following areas:
- Accounting
- Business liquidation or sale
- Business start-up or acquisition
- Financial analysis and cost
- Inventory control
- Marketing and sales
- Personnel

The International Trade & Quality Center
The International Trade and Quality Center provides assistance to those organizations or individuals who are or wish to be involved in international trade. Services offered include:
- Developing international consulting and other services
- Assist in quest for continuous improvement to enhance quality and reduce cost
- Enhance business curriculum by providing international & quality resources as well as internship opportunities and other assistance for faculty and students

Southern Business and Economic Review is published bi-annually and contains local economic indicators and articles with a strong managerial focus targeted to business professionals. The Center for Entrepreneurship
The Center provides practical and relevant information concerning the implementation and operation of a small business. Courses in the areas of management methods, accounting, financing, marketing, business plans, legal aspects, and business opportunities are offered via the Internet.
