FULL-TIME TENURE-TRACK POSITION – The Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) Department of Nursing is experiencing an exciting period of growth and seeks a Nursing Department Chair/Educator to fill a full-time 12-month tenure-track position beginning June 1, 2016.  Applicants that demonstrate talent and commitment to the roles of administrator, scholar, and educator are invited to join our team.  MSSU has an ACEN accredited undergraduate baccalaureate program, an on-line RN to BSN program and is proposing a cooperative Master’s degree/Family Nurse Practitioner program with Southeast Missouri State University beginning Fall 2016.  We are seeking an energetic, positive, creative, visionary leader who is interested in working with new teaching technologies including the online RN to BSN program. 

This position will serve multiple functions within the Department of Nursing including administration and teaching.  The Department Chair in Nursing will work collaboratively with faculty to provide administrative and educational leadership in the development and continuous quality improvement of the Department.  This position will serve as a liaison to the university, community and external accrediting agencies and will represent the department at the state level with relevant organizations.

Nurse Educator -- CLOSED

FULL-TIME NURSING FACULTY POSITION – Missouri Southern State University (MSSU) Department of Nursing is seeking a nurse educator to fill a full time 10-month position beginning August 1, 2016.  Seasoned educators with a demonstrated talent and commitment to the dual role of leader and scholar are invited to join our team.  MSSU has an ACEN accredited undergraduate baccalaureate nursing program, an online RN-BSN program, and is proposing a cooperative master’s degree/family nurse practitioner option with Southeast Missouri State University beginning the fall 2016.  The Department is seeking an innovative individual who is interested in working with new teaching technologies. This position prefers the applicant to be certified or have recent experience in medical surgical nursing prior to employment. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
