Glenn M. McCumber

Gov. Jay Nixon announced the appointment of Mr. Glenn M. (Mitch) McCumber, (R), Noel, to the Missouri Southern State University Board of Governors on April 26, 2013. His term ends Aug. 30, 2018. Mr. McCumber filled a vacancy created when Nancy D. Perry's term expired in 2012.
A CPA, Mr. McCumber earned as associate's degree in business administration from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M Junior College, Miami, Okla., in 1982. He earned a bachelor's degree in business administration with an emphasis in accounting from Missouri Southern State University, graduating Cum Laude in 1985.
Mr. McCumber has worked at New-Mac Electric Cooperative in Neosho for 17 years and has been Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for 14 of those years. New-Mac Electric has assets in excess of $91 million and sales in excess of $35 million.
Prior to joining New-Mac, Mr. McCumber worked for a number of CPA firms as staff accountant and partner, representing businesses in banking, manufacturing, government and utilities.
He has served several corporate Boards and civic organizations, including Freeman Health Systems, Freeman Neosho Hospital, Community Bank & Trust in Neosho, Consumer Electric Power Association, Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives, Neosho Chamber of Commerce and KAMO Power. among others.
