2006-07: Did not compete
during the indoor season ... Had four top ten times in the 800m during the
outdoor season, including times of 2:24.26 at Arkansas and 2:24.47 at the MSSU
Track and Field Festival.
2005-06: Earned All-MIAA
honors in both the 600-yard run and 4x400-meter relay in her first collegiate
indoor season ... finished as MIAA runner-up in the 600 with a season-best
clocking of 1:27.93 ... had the Lions' top four 600-yard run times ... helped
the MSSU 4x400-meter relay team to a third-place finish in conference ... also
competed on the distance medley relay team.
High School:
A four-year letterwinner in track & field for the OHS Tigers ... an all-state runner in the 800 meters
... finished as Missouri Class 3 state runner-up in the 800 as a senior ... in 2004, she finished fifth in
Missouri Class 3 and was named the Aldo Sebben Award winner for the Outstanding
Class 3 High School Track & Field Athlete ... also an all-county basketball
player for the 2005 state championship Ozark girls basketball team ... a
three-year basketball letterwinner.
Personal: Plans to study physical therapy ... born June 10, 1986 in
Ada, Okla. ... daughter of Richard and Sharon Borgard ... her father was a
fullback with the Missouri Southern football Lions from 1979-82 ... her mother
participated on the MSSU track & field and volleyball teams from 1979-81 ... a
brother, Chris, plays fullback at Arkansas State University ... several uncles
played college football and one worked as an NFL official for 10 years.
