2007-08:  Sprinter had an outstanding freshmen season ... held top times for Lions in 200m dash with a time of 26.64 at MIAA Indoor Championships ... McKay also in the 60m- and 400m dashes ... during the outdoor season she also had best times in 200m dash ... bested her time in 200m with time of 25.93 at MIAA Outdoor Championships ... had a time of 59.69 in 400m dash at MIAA Championships ... also had second best time in 100m dash for the Lions

High School: McKay is a highly decorated track athlete out of Liberal High School in Liberal, Mo. where she competed for coach Brandi Goodell ... Also a letter winner in volleyball and basketball, McKay won the state championship in the 100m, 200m and 400m, as well as the long jump as a junior in 2005 ... She was the Missouri Class 1 Female Athlete of the Year in 2005, after leading her team to a second place finish in the state meet. Liberal was fourth in 2004 ... She holds records in the 100m (12.23), 200m (25.70), 400m (59.06), as well as the long jump with a distance of 17 feet ... Both of her parents are 1980 graduates of Southern.
