Llewellyn earns NSCAA Scholar All-American and All-Region status

Joplin, Mo. -- Senior Nikki Llewellyn was selected as a third-team NSCAA/adidas Scholar All-American and a first-team NSCAA/adidas All-Central Region Scholar.  These awards are not limited to only Division II participants, but Division III and NAIA squads as well.

Llewellyn, a second-team scholar all-region selection last year, maintained a 3.81 grade-point average in finance and economics. 

Performing well in the classroom is nothing new for Llewellyn, as she is also a two-time member of the MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll and a three-time CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VII pick. 

Llewellyn finished her career as the Lions' all-time leader in points (109) and goals (49).  She led the Lions in scoring for the fourth-straight season with 11 goals, including five game-winners during the 2008 campaign. 

The Scholar All-America selections will be honored at the annual All-America Luncheon in St. Louis, Mo. on Saturday, Jan. 17, as part of the 2009 NSCAA Convention.
