FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Joplin, Mo. -- Senior Nikki Llewellyn was selected to the NSCAA/adidas All-South Central Region squad as a third-team pick. It marks the fourth straight All-Region honor for Llewellyn. Llewellyn, a native of O'Fallon, Mo., is the Lions' all-time leader in points (109) and goals scored (49). She led the Lions in scoring for the fourth-straight season with 11 goals, including five game-winners during the 2008 campaign. The last game-winning goal came in the
season finale as Llewellyn scored in double-overtime to lift the Lions
to a 2-1 win over Emporia State (Nov. 9).
Ironically, Llewellyn scored the Lions' first goal of her freshman year in 2005 and the last goal of her senior season in 2008. |
