Llewellyn once again named Brine/MIAA Player of the Week

Overland Park, Kan.. -- Nikki Llewellyn, a sophomore from O'Fallon, Mo., has been selected as the Brine/MIAA Player of the Week for the second straight week after scoring the game-winning goal with five seconds left to give Missouri Southern a dramatic, 1-0 win over previously unbeaten and 14^th ranked Washburn Saturday afternoon (Sept. 30). 

Llewellyn then scored a goal in her fourth straight match the following day vs. Emporia State that tied the score 1-1 in the first half, and then assisted on a goal by Erin Gfeller to give the Lions a 2-1 lead heading into halftime. 

Each of Llewellyn s four goals this season have either tied the score, or given Southern the victory. 

Llewellyn currently leads the Lions this year in goals and assists (3).

Llewellyn and the Lions will continue play in the MIAA by playing at Southwest Baptist this Thursday (Oct. 5) at 4 p.m.
