FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Joplin, Mo. -- Katie Reuck scored at the 52:07 mark to snap a 1-1 gridlock and lead the unbeaten and No. 4-ranked Truman Bulldogs past the Missouri Southern Lions, 3-1 Thursday night (Sept. 25) at Hal Bodon Field. Reuck's goal came off a keeper deflection after Nikki Llewellyn evened the match just four minutes earlier from 15 yards away off a cross from Audrey Copenhaver. Jessica Wiegert added another score for the Bulldogs (8-0, 4-0 MIAA) in the 73rd minute off an assist from Katelyn Talcott. The first goal of the match was scored in the 29th minute when Reuck assisted on a goal from Isabel Gaeta. The Lions (2-6, 0-5 MIAA) were narrowly out-shot 14-12 overall but 10-4 on-goal. Michelle Dimza led the Lions with a match-high four shots with one on-goal. Randi Russell made seven saves in the net for the Lions, while Truman keeper Denise Childress stopped three shots The Lions will now play at Missouri Western on Saturday night (Sept. 27) at 7 p.m. in St. Joseph, Mo.
