Women's Soccer Earns Team Academic Award

Joplin, Mo. -- For the fourth straight year, the Missouri Southern Lions have been honored with the NSCAA Team Academic Award for excellence in the classroom.

The Lions amassed a team grade-point-average of 3.49. The NSCAA/adidas College Women's Team Academic Award was instituted in 1996. To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) to be eligible.

Academic success has been a top priority under sixth-year head coach Trevor Wachsman. In addition to the four NSCAA Team Academic Awards, the Lions have produced 44 MIAA Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll honorees the last five seasons.
