Kirksville, Mo. -- Megan Buri scored a goal in the 17th minute of play for the only goal of the match as the Truman Bulldogs slipped by the Missouri Southern Lions, 1-0 Saturday afternoon (Oct. 25) in Kirksville, Mo.

Buri's goal was unassisted and came off a steal at the 17:25 mark.

Despite only one goal being scored, both squads had plenty of looks at the net as they combined for 39 shot-attempts overall.  The Bulldogs (13-3-1, 9-3-1 MIAA) out-shot the Lions 23-16 and 6-4 on-goal.

The Lions will now begin a four-game homestand to close out the season, beginning with a date with the No. 23-ranked Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks on Thursday night (Oct. 30) at 7 p.m.
