double overtime tie at Washburn
Box Score
Topeka, Kan. -- Trailing
1-0 with just over six minutes remaining in regulation, Nikki Llewellyn
(O'Fallon, Mo.) kicked in her team-leading ninth goal of the season and
the Missouri Southern Lions finished with a 1-1 double overtime draw
against the Washburn Lady Blues in an important MIAA matchup Friday
night (Sept. 28) in Topeka, Kan.
The tie keeps the Lions in sole possession of second place in the MIAA

when Markie Gallagher found a loose ball in the box and put it in the
net from seven yards out to put WU ahead 1-0.
The Lions (7-2-2, 4-2-1 MIAA) were able to come away with the tie
despite being out-shot 20-5 overall and 6-2 on-goal.
