Reisner named to All-Region squad
Women’s soccer senior collects honor
for second straight year
Tera Reisner (San
Angelo, Texas/Lees McRae College), a senior on the Missouri
Southern State University women’s soccer team, was named
to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America
All-Central Region Soccer Team announced recently.
Reisner, a two-year starter at forward with
the Lions, captured third team honors on the squad, which
includes 14 representatives from the Mid-America
Intercollegiate Athletics Association on the first, second and
third teams. It marks the second straight year for Reisner to
earn NSCAA All-Central Region honors. She was also a third-team
selection in 2003.
This season, the 5-foot-1 Reisner scored a
team-leading nine goals, including a school record-tying six
game-winners as the Lions finished 10-8-2 overall, including
8-5-1 for third place in the MIAA. Reisner also led MSSU with
five assists and 23 total points.
She was a second-team All-MIAA selection at
the end of the most recent season after earning first-team
honors as a junior in 2003.
In just two years with the Lions, Reisner
ended her career in second place on the Southern career lists
for goals (22) and total points (51).
