Reisner named Wilson/MIAA Player of the Week
Junior forward scored three goals last week

Tera Reisner (San Angelo, Texas/Lees McRae [N.C.] College) had three goals and an assist in three games for the Missouri Southern women’s soccer team last week. As a result, the 5-1 junior forward was named Wilson/MIAA Player of the Week on Tuesday (Sept. 23).

She scored the tying goal on a penalty kick in the 82nd minute of the Lions’ 1-1 tie with Missouri-Rolla on Sept. 16.

Then on Sunday, Reisner tallied her fourth and fifth goals of the season as Missouri Southern stormed from behind for a 3-1 win at the University of South Dakota. Her first score in that contest tied the score in the game’s 62nd minute. Just over 18 minutes later, she put in the game-winner before charting an assist on the Lions’ final score.

Missouri Southern went 1-1-1 in three matches last week, improving to 2-4-1 overall. The team stands at 1-0-1 in MIAA action, and will host conference foe Central Missouri State on Thursday.

Reisner is a graduate of San Angelo’s Lakeview High School and transferred to Southern from Lees McRae (N.C.) following her sophomore season.
