Reisner named to All-Region soccer team
Junior forward earns third-team honors

Tera Reisner (San Angelo, Texas), who scored the third-most goals in Missouri Southern women’s soccer history, has been named to the NSCAA All-Central Region third-team.

Reisner, a first-team All-Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association pick this year, scored 13 goals in 2003 and added two assists to finish with 28 points. Her goal output from this past season ranks third on Missouri Southern’s single-season list.

Reisner finished tied for second in the conference with 0.65 goals per game. She hit two game-winning goals and had four multiple-goal games. The 5-foot-1 junior also ranked fourth in the MIAA with 1.4 points per game. Reisner accounted for almost 62 percent of the Lions’ scoring in 2003.

She joined the Lions this season as a transfer from Lees-McRae (N.C.), where she was twice named a second-team all-conference performer. She scored 26 goals in two collegiate seasons before transferring to MSSU.

Missouri Southern finished head coach Trevor Wachsman’s first season at the helm 3-13-4 overall and 2-8-4 in the MIAA, tying for sixth in the league race.

In all, 12 players from the MIAA were named to the All-Central Region squad, including seven from conference champion Truman State. League runner-up Southwest Baptist had three players on the team, while Missouri-Rolla and Missouri Southern each had one.
