Men's and Women's cross country
squads compete at
Arkansas
Fayetteville, Ark. -- The Missouri Southern men's
and women's cross country teams both competed in the Arkansas
Cross Country meet today, where the women squared off with the
Lady Razorbacks, and the men faced both Arkansas and Oklahoma.
Kimi Shank finished sixth and
completed the 4k course in a time of 14:16.5, just ten seconds
off the leader. The host Lady Backs finished 1-5 in the event.
Kara Eckard was 12th, while
Ashley Bunch, Victoria Kline and Olga Bulgarova finished
14th-16th. Kari Fritchie, Silvia Pineda and Allyson Benkert were
18th-20th.
The men were led by Brennan
Benkert's 13th place finish with a time of 20:53.5 over the 6k
course. Freshman Derek Mendell was 19th, while a trio of
freshman finished 21st, 22nd and 23rd in Shawn Goebel, Jake
Crocker and Derick Kimrey. Derek Wright and Rustan Crockett were
24th and 25th.
The Lions will be back in action
next weekend, traveling to Central Missouri on September 12th
for the UCM Invite. |
