Kimi Shank named
MIAA Cross Country Runner of the Week
Overland Park, KS. -- Missouri Southern freshman runner
Kimi Shank (St. James, MO/Rolla HS) has been named the MIAA
Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the league
office today.
Shank was the top Division II
finisher at the University of Arkansas/Fayetteville Invitational
this past week. The meet featured the Lady Razorbacks and
Missouri State University, along with the Lions. Shank ran the
four kilometer course in a time of 14:43, good enough for 15th
overall.
The Lions, as a team, were just
four minutes off the time posted by Missouri State and nine back
of Division I perennial power Arkansas.
Southern will host the annual
Southern Stampede this weekend. The race will feature more than
36 collegiate teams in a men's and women's race, as well as high
school races to take place after the collegiate open. The
women's race will begin at 9 a.m. with the men following at
approximately 9:45 a.m. |
