Raleigh Jackson is in his second season as an assistant coach
with the Missouri Southern football team and he moves to coaching the defensive
line after coaching the linebackers in 2008. Under Jackson’s tutelage, Jared
Brawner was an All-MIAA, All-Region and All-American selection after leading the
league in tackles and ranking tenth in division II. Jackson will work primarily with the linemen at Southern. A 2007 graduate of The Citadel, Jackson received a Bachelor of Arts in History. A four-year letterman, Jackson started in 17 career games at Linebacker and appeared in 42 of his 44 games played. His senior season, Jackson was a starter and helped lead The Citadel to it's first winning record in the Southern Conference in 15 seasons. Originally from Orangeburg, South Carolina, Jackson was a two-time All-State and All-Area linebacker for Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. Jackson previously coached at Goose Creek High School in Goose Creek, SC where he coached under former Baylor Head Coach Chuck Reedy. Jackson served as the defensive ends coach and assisted with special teams. |
