JR Tatum is in his third year with the Lions as an assistant coach. This season
Tatum will add the title of tight ends coach to his long list of
responsibilities within the football program.
The son of Lions assistant coach John Tatum and the nephew of head coach Bart
Tatum, JR is a 2007 graduate of Texas A&M Commerce University. While at
Commerce, Tatum was the equipment manager for the football team for the 2005-06
seasons.
At Southern, Tatum will coach the tight ends, as well as helping out in the
areas of equipment and video.
