The 2006-07 campaign will mark the fourth season for Aundrey Wright as a member of the Missouri Southern men's basketball coaching staff.

Wright came to Missouri Southern from Georgia College & State, where he worked during the 2002-03 season as an assistant coach on Terry Sellers  men s squad that finished 14-13. Wright had previously served, in the 2001-02 campaign, as an assistant coach at California (Pa.) University, where he helped the nationally-ranked Vulcans to a 23-6 overall mark.

Wright says he s always respected the Missouri Southern basketball program.

Having worked at several (NCAA) Division II programs around the country, I know that the Missouri Southern situation is one of the best around,  Wright added.  It s a cut above most of the programs out there.

Before joining the California (Pa.) staff, Wright was employed as an assistant coach at Erskine (S.C.) College. In addition to his coaching duties at Erskine, Wright was also the PRIME Project Director and Male Minority Counselor at Piedmont Technical College in Greenwood, S.C.

A St. Louis, Mo. native, Wright also served as an assistant coach and sports information director at St. Louis Community College-Meremec from 1997-2000. While there, he helped guide the men s basketball team to an appearance in the NJCAA Tournament, a Region XVI championship and a regional runner-up finish.

He earned his bachelor s degree in health education from Southern Illinois University in 1997 and received his master s in physical education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2000.

Wright is married to the former Tamra Hellams.
