Softball’s fall alumni game set for Oct. 2

Alumni game, cookout to follow scrimmage

Missouri Southern State University head softball coach Jennifer Jimerson announced that the 2004 alumni game will be played on Oct. 2 at Gene Wild and Lea Kungle Fields on the campus of MSSU.

The day gets under way with the current Lion softball team hosting a doubleheader scrimmage at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. against Northeastern State (Okla.). Then the current MSSU squad will take on its alumni in a 4 p.m. game at the Southern complex.

As in years past, a cookout with free food will be included with the day’s festivities.

Softball alumni interested in returning for the day are asked to contact coach Jimerson (phone: 417-625-9873; email: jimerson-j@mssu.edu) by Sept. 24 so an approximate attendance number can be obtained.
