2008: Berger plattooned at third
base and saw action on the mound after injuries forced the junior
college transfer into action ... Played in ten games, starting four at
third ... on the mound, appeared in 16, games, starting in nine and was
third on the team with 48 innings pitched and recorded two complete
games.
At Independence CC: Transferred
to Independence CC after a year at Blinn CC in Bryan, Texas ... Was an
Academic All-American at ICC in 2007.

A three year starter at third base at LaGrange High School for coach
Sharon Vinklarek and the Leopards ... Was a second team All-District
selection in 2003 and 2004 ... Helped lead the softball team to a
district championship in 2003, while claiming a regional title in 2004
and a state championship in 2005 ... Also an Academic All-District
