2008: Bax started in all 38
games for the Lions either at second base or on the mound ... she hit
.228 with four doubles, two triples a home run and eight RBIs, while
going 2-3 on the basepaths ... on the mound, Bax appeared in 21 games,
starting ten and recording two complete games ... she had a save and was
second on the team with 59.2 innings pitched, while striking out 30.
2007: Appeared in 16 games in
the field, starting ten for the Lions as a true freshman ... hit .250,
scoring four times and carrying a .364 on base percentage ... Also a
pitcher for Southern, Bax appeared in 11 games, starting two ... She led
the team with a 1.24 ERA in 17 innings pitched, allowing just three
earned runs and striking out 11.
In
High School: A three-sport
standout for the Linn Wildcats, Kelli amassed a scrapbook full of honors
in softball, basketball and track . . . a three-time team MVP, she twice
won batting average awards with a .487 average, was all-state in 2005,
all-region in 2004-05 and all-conference and all-district all four years
. . . was a two-time all-conference and all-district performer in
basketball and the team MVP and was all-conference and all-district in
track two years in a row . . . set team stolen base record and tied
record in triples and set a basketball record for the most free throws
in a season . . . helped the Wildcats place third in state softball in
2005 and played a key role in a district basketball championship in
2002.

in Linn, Mo . . . daughter of Rick and Janet Bax . . . has a sister,
Angie, and a brother, Josh . . . an aunt, Sharon Bax, played basketball
at the University of Missouri; sister Angie played at Crowder College
and at Missouri-Rolla, and a cousin, Eric Stuckenschneider, played
professional baseball in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization . . .
