Complete Results The Lions won 12 individual and team events between the men and women in the first home outdoor event of the year. Weeks won the Javelin with a distance of 151 feet, one inch, just a little over two inches off of her own school record. Other event winners for the women include: Shannan Borgard and Silvia Pineda in the 800m and 1,500m, respectively, Kimi Shank and Channell Lloyd in the 5k and 400m hurdles, Kara Eckard in the 3k steeplechase, and Ciara Lipsey recorded a provisional in the pole vault. Eckard picked up a provisional in the steeple, while the women's 4x100 and distance medley relay teams also picked up wins. Both Erin Steffens and Nicole Green had provisional distances in the shot put. In men's action, Kyle Hancock won the weight throw and was second in the shot put. Phillip Horn and John Lowe were first and second in the 110m hurdles, while Taylor McClelland and David Selby were first and second in the triple jump. Kevin Wright won the 400m hurdles, while Josh Mathis and Brennan Benkert were second and fourth in the 5k. The Lions will be back in action next weekend at the Pittsburg State Invitational. |
